Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Cloud System Continuity Technical Lead to ensure the resilience and reliability of our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans. This role involves hands-on technical work and leadership, ensuring seamless operations and swift recovery from disruptions.

Key Responsibilities: • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR):
o Develop and maintain comprehensive BCDR plans for cloud environments.
o Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical processes and dependencies.
o Design and implement robust disaster recovery solutions tailored to cloud services.

 Technical Implementation and Management:
o Lead the technical implementation of continuity and recovery solutions across various cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
o Configure and manage cloud-based redundancy, failover, and backup solutions to ensure high availability and data integrity.
o Oversee the execution of regular disaster recovery testing and drills, analyzing results and improving processes accordingly.


• Incident Response and Recovery:
o Act as the primary technical lead during cloud service disruptions, coordinating with cross-functional teams to restore services swiftly.
o Perform root cause analysis of incidents and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.


• System Resilience and Optimization:
o Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of cloud systems to identify areas for improvement.
o Implement automated monitoring and alerting tools to detect and respond to potential issues proactively.
o Optimize cloud infrastructure for resilience, scalability, and cost-efficiency.


• Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure that all continuity and recovery plans comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
o Maintain detailed documentation of BCDR plans, procedures, and testing results.

• Collaboration and Training:
o Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to align continuity strategies with organizational goals.
o Provide training and guidance to technical staff on continuity and recovery processes.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure understanding and support for continuity initiatives.

• Leadership and Mentoring:
o Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
o Stay abreast of the latest developments in cloud technologies and continuity practices, driving innovation within the team.Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT business continuity, disaster recovery, and cloud system management.
 Proven experience with leading BCDR efforts in cloud environments, with hands-on technical expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
 

Certifications:
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar.
 

Skills:
• Deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Strong expertise in BCDR methodologies and technical implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and lead a technical team.
